The Silvernale boys are excited to get the melons in the ground! Did you know Dixon Melons plants seeds and plants? Planting in Montana in May can be risky, but well worth it. If the weather cooperates, we are sometimes able to have a few ripe melons by the last week in July. Seeding can feel like a never ending battle due to cool temps that inhibit germination or, once they do come up, the baby seedlings have to fight for their place against those pesky weeds. Persistence and love is the name of the game!
